Have you guys seen this? No one knows what it is yet but one thing's for sure - Franklin Armory creating quite the stir prior to shot show. Their marketing team deserves a pat on the back.

Word has it that it uses the binary trigger system, therefore is not a "rifle" as defined by ATF (and hence can't be an SBR either) because it fires more than one round with each PULL of the trigger. It's not a machine gun according to ATF because the binary trigger only fires one round with each ACTION of the trigger.

Yeah, Franklin beat the man at his own game but for how long? ATF is a bureaucratic body and can therefore rewrite the regulations without going through legislative channels.
